Where can I buy your nail polishes?

Currently, the only authorized retailer is on our website, www.ApocalypsePolish.com. We cannot support or endorse purchases through resale or secondary channels.

Where do you ship?

Currently, we only ship to the continental US, but we are hoping to expand into international options in the future.

 

When will my order ship?

If an item is in stock, your order will ship in 7 - 14 days. Thermal and neon shades are made to order to extend their shelf life, which will add additional processing time. Orders containing a thermal or neon shade can take up 21 days to ship. If an item is unexpectedly on backorder, we will reach out to you via email within 7 days to notify you of any delays.

 

What is your return policy?

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to notify us of any issues or concerns with your items. Due to the nature of the products that we sell, we cannot accept returns. However, we stand by our products and will replace any defective items. We will ask for proof of purchase, and a photo showing the damaged or defective item for our records. Damages and issues

Do I need a lamp for these nail polishes?

These are traditional nail lacquers and do not require any kind of lamp for use. They naturally air dry, so there is no lamp required!

 

Are these gel? Do you sell gel?

No, these are not gel nail polishes, they are traditional nail polishes which air dry. We have no plans to sell gel nail polish.

 

Are your shades cruelty-free, vegan, 10-free?

Yes! All of our shades are cruelty-free - meaning we screen all vendors to ensure they do no test their products on animals, or source ingredients that were tested on animals. All of our shades are vegan, meaning there are no animal derived ingredients. We are also 10-free, which means that our shades are free of the following potentially harmful ingredients: Toluene, Formaldehyde, DBP- Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide, Paraben, Fragrance, or Animal Products

 

 

Do you make everything yourself?

We are a small team, and we handcraft every nail polish and cuticle oil by hand. We hand mix, pour, label, package and mail everything in-house. Even the text you are reading (and all the text on this website and social media) are written by us.

There may be minor variations due to the handmade product you receive, but please know, every step of they way is done with love. We are nothing without our fantastic nail community!

 

Are your shades limited edition?

We do not intend to create anything limited edition. As long as pigments are available, we will continue to make our shades. If anything is out of stock, it will eventually be back, unless otherwise indicated.

 

Where do you get your ideas?

Everything we create is designed and cultivated in-house, and is intended to create an artistic representation based on something that inspires us. Our team is absolutely obsessed with all apocalyptic/dystopian content, and our shades are all directly or indirectly inspired by the visuals and themes of those stories. We are also inspired by the nail polish community and keep our fans in mind when creating!

 

What is the Welcome To The Apocalypse series?

This is our ongoing series. Rather than trying to include everything in a single collection, we wanted the freedom to bring you monthly themed releases. In this series, we will be releasing duos and trios of shades around a theme or particular reference. We wanted to capture classic science fiction (going all the way back to the 1800s) through modern day. Here you will find everything from everything from martians, to the wastelands of nuclear winter. Zombies? Check. Aliens? Check. Cthulhu? Check. This series starts later this year (date TBD), and will be releasing on the first Friday of each month. Check back here for updates soon!

 

What is the "special guest" shade?

The special guest shade is a bonus shade that you will receive when purchasing a full collection listing during the launch window. It is our gift to you, and a clue of what is to come. The color story, name and theme of this shade will be a preview of the next launch we have planned. It is a special guest visiting from the future! All special guest shades are available for sale at a later date. 

 

Where do donations go?

Currently, 10% of all net proceeds are being donated (on a quarterly basis) to the
Partnership Against Domestic Violence organization (www.padv.org). In the future, we intend to donate to other organizations helping those who are struggling with a personal apocalypse.

 

What is a "personal apocalypse" and why does it matter for your brand?

"Personal Apocalypse" is our term for the small-scale, life-shattering events that take place in stories. For example, Tom Hank's character in Cast Away is facing a personal apocalypse when he is marooned on an island. For him, in that story, the world is ending. For many people in real life, there are time periods, phases, or entire lifetimes, that are on the scale of an apocalypse for them, hence the term, "Personal Apocalypse". For us, these personal-scale apocalypses must be honored for what they are. It matters to us to represent those stories in fiction using artistic expression through our brand, and through donations for those struggling in real life by donating a share of everything we make.

It should be noted here, we would never intentionally represent a real life story in our brand, only fiction.
